Combat Fatigue Rest Period,
more commonly known as R&R, was usually  provide to military personnel after being in a combat zone for more than 90 days.

Personnel assigned to Marine Air Group 31 in the summer of 1944 were sent to Hawaii and were housed at  the Alexander Young Rest Home located on Waikiki beach.  A group of about 20 MAG-31 personnel, comprised of
3-4 members from various units, would be on R&R at any one time.  This was done so all units could remain operational.
New items will be added as they become available - please come back.
