On his first mission at Chu Lai, 1stLt Jack Haag was to hook with a C-130 and take on fuel. The Drouge Basket broke off the tanker as he was plugging in. The aircraft was a strike due to the explosion caused by the fuel from the broken fuel line which blew into the right air intake, which is just behind the aircrafts fuel probe. Major Neil Levin was Jack's section lead and he said the aircraft disappeared in a ball of fire
